Training and Work Experience

I completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women's Studies from McGill University. I then obtained my Master of Education and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

I am a registered psychologist in the Province of Ontario, practising in the areas of clinical, counselling and forensic psychology. During my training and after registration, I worked in university counselling centres at York University, the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. I was employed for nearly 20 years with the Correctional Service of Canada in the St. Catharines and Hamilton Parole Offices, first as a contractor and subcontractor and then as a part-time permanent employee. I began working in private practice in 2007 in the practice of a psychologist in Beamsville, Ontario and opened my own practice part-time in 2012. Since 2019, I have worked full-time in my own practice.
